I'm sure the title of this probably got your blood pressure up a bit, or at least made you question our sanity. Some of you reading this are right in the middle of your wait, are facing an unclear future or have been scarred by infertility. You may be struggling with how you could possibly be grateful for infertility. It took us a long time to get there ourselves. This is one of those areas where sometimes our faith has to guide us while our hearts and heads catch up. We have to practice thankfulness, even when it makes little sense, while God does His divine work on our souls. We had to learn how to be thankful in infertility first, and once we were able to see God's beautiful plan unfolding and the purpose He had for allowing our families to go down these paths, we were able to learn to be grateful for infertility because of the work God did in our lives because of the pain. If you're not there yet, you're not alone. But we hope that reading pieces from this Grateful For Infertility series will help you find that it's worth fighting for a heart of thankfulness, even in the midst of some truly deep pain and fears.
We know His will is good. He is always good.
So when life doesn't make sense and we are given a diagnosis or trial, of any kind really, that causes us some pain and suffering, we have to trust His promises. We have to remember the pain is temporary, even if it lasts months or years. We have to find reasons to be grateful and trust that He is working out His will for our lives.
We know, oh so well, that when you are in the middle of this period, that there are days, weeks, even months that it can be down right difficult to find things to be grateful for. So we want to share with you some of what we are now grateful for in our infertility and invite you to join us.
Big or small, it doesn't matter. We want to hear from you. We want others to hear from you. Gratitude is easier to learn and practice when you've joined hands with others fighting to find a heart of thankfulness too.
It is our prayer that we can encourage you who are in your wait now. God rewards those who are faithful to Him. When you put your feelings and logic aside and put your faith into action, you see Him working around you in ways that will surprise you. But we know that sometimes it takes a little kick start or hand holding to take those first few steps. So let's do this together. Let's spend the season of Thanksgiving, being thankful in all circumstances, including infertility.

A series for people who are grateful for infertility? Sounds crazy right! But it's not... what was once a phase of life marked by heartache and longing, has now become the scars that make us beautiful.
